Fell & Sell Dungeon Guide: Minimap, Full Map, Unstuck, Risk

Dungeon runs are the pressure point of Fell & Sell. In the launch version, players also need to separate real risk-reward decisions from bugs that were fixed in the first updates. The official loop rewards deeper exploration with rarer loot, but the same loop punishes death by removing the unbanked haul.

Direct Answer

Use the new dungeon map tools first: the August 31 update added a HUD minimap and a full map opened with M. If you are stuck between dungeon floors, blocked by a passage, frozen after a new floor loads, or unsure how to leave a bad run, update Fell & Sell before diagnosing the route. Unstuck and Return to Village are separate recovery tools: map navigation helps you choose a route, Unstuck helps when movement breaks, and Return to Village protects the haul when the run is no longer worth the risk.

Launch Fix Chain

Keep the first-week updates separate when diagnosing a dungeon problem. Ver. 1.1.1 added player-facing run recovery through Unstuck and Return to Village. Ver. 1.1.2 focused on save-file recovery and should be checked when progress or inventory state looks wrong after loading. Ver. 1.1.3 fixed special-room persistence. The August 31 Dungeon Map + Inventory Sorting update added navigation tools and storage chest safeguards, but it should not be described as a fix for every earlier save or room issue.

Map Navigation Is Not Unstuck

Use the minimap and M map when you are choosing where to go. Use Unstuck when character position or collision behaves incorrectly. Use Return to Village when the run goal is complete, inventory is too valuable to risk, or health and gear no longer justify pushing deeper.

What The Evidence Supports

The official Steam facts support three dungeon principles: dungeon deaths cost the unbanked haul, deeper dungeon progress can produce rarer loot, and altars can substantially change playstyle. Official launch updates also support the fixed bug list above plus the August 31 map and sorting tools. The evidence does not yet support exact drop rates, safe-depth formulas, or universal retreat thresholds.

Practical Run Flow

Start a run with a goal: gather materials, find sale stock, test a build, or push for rarer loot. During the run, separate guaranteed value from possible value. The guaranteed value is what you can bring home now. The possible value is what you might gain by continuing.

Altars

Altars matter because they can change how a run plays. Do not treat an altar as a simple bonus until its effect is understood in context. If the effect changes combat risk, movement rhythm, resource use, or item value, adjust the run goal before pushing deeper.

Dungeon Content Limits

This page does not list exact loot tables or optimal retreat points. Those need verified data. Until then, the reliable advice is decision structure: know what you came for, track what you can safely bank, and avoid turning a profitable expedition into a loss.

Dungeon FAQ

Why can't I move to the next dungeon floor?

Update Fell & Sell first. Version 1.0.2 fixed blocked dungeon generation and freezing after a new floor loads, Ver. 1.1.1 added an Unstuck button plus a Return to Village button, Ver. 1.1.3 fixed special-room persistence, and the August 31 update added map tools. If the problem still happens after updating, treat it as a current-version bug report rather than a route puzzle.

Why is the cell room gate still locked?

The August 27 update fixed cell room gates that could stay locked after all enemies were killed. Update the game, clear every enemy in the room, and report the issue if the gate still fails in the current build.

How deep does the dungeon go?

Steam achievements confirm at least Dungeon Floor 10. That does not prove Floor 10 is the final floor, so this guide should not claim a fixed dungeon ending until stronger evidence exists.
